FRED L. BROWN, MBA, FACHE
Fred L. Brown’s health care career spans 42 years. As a noted advocate for America’s hospitals and health care organizations, he has served in many prominent leadership roles and is currently immediate past chairman and a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Joint Commission and immediate past chairman of The National Kidney Foundation. Mr. Brown is known for his expertise in health care integration, governance, operations, public policy, diversity, spiritual care, community health and social responsibility. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

MALCOLM KOSTUCHENKO
Malcolm Kostuchenko has been a general partner for Enhanced Equity Fund, L.P. since its founding in 2005. Prior to Enhanced Equity Fund, L.P. he was a member of MTS Health Partners, L.P. where he focused on equity investments in health care services companies. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Guardian Health Care, Correctional Healthcare Management, NextCare® Urgent Care, Fitness Together and Triton Technologies. Mr. Kostuchenko received a bachelor of arts from Brown University.

DAVID LOWENBERG
David Lowenberg holds a long and distinguished career in the public and private sectors. Mr. Lowenberg is currently consulting with C-suite executives in health care and private equity firms and is also senior advisor to several health care companies. He recently retired as president and chief executive officer of Curascript, Inc., the specialty pharmacy business of Express Scripts, Inc., which is one of the largest, most successful pharmacy benefit managers. He has a master’s degree in public management from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a graduate degree in criminal justice administration from San Diego State University.

ANDREW M. PAUL
Andrew M. Paul is the managing general partner of Enhanced Equity Fund and founder and chairman of Enhanced Capital Partners, LLC (ECP). He has been actively engaged in private equity and venture capital investing for over 25 years, primarily in the health care industry. Mr. Paul also served as general partner and a managing general partner at Welsh, Carson, Anderson and Stowe (WCAS) and was an associate of the venture capital group of Hambrecht & Quist. Mr. Paul received his B.A. from Cornell University in 1978 and his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1983. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Cornell University and the Board of Directors of Lawrence Hospital.

DON STEEN
Donald E. Steen founded United Surgical Partners International, Inc. in 1998 and served as chief executive officer until April 2004. He is now currently chairman of the board, but has also served as chairman of the board and chief executive officer of AmeriPath, Inc. Mr. Steen served as president of the International Group of HCA from 1995 until 1997 and as president of the Western Group of HCA from 1994 until 1995. Mr. Steen has been a pioneer in the surgery center business since in 1982, when he founded Medical Care International, Inc.

LARRY WOLK, MD
Dr. Larry Wolk is the COO for Correctional Healthcare Companies. Prior to joining CHC, Dr. Wolk was the Chief Medical Officer for HMS Healthcare. He has also served as the Senior Medical Director of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Colorado, Prudential Healthcare of Colorado and CIGNA HealthCare. Dr. Wolk himself has been honored as a Colorado Pediatrician of the Year, a Volunteer of the Year, a Healthcare Executive of the Year, a “7 Everyday Hero” and he is a recipient of the University of Vermont’s Award for Service to Medicine and Community. Dr. Wolk received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical doctorate from the University of Vermont.
