Taking health care into our own hands

Health care reform on a federal level might not be dead yet, but it certainly is on life support.
With President Barack Obama releasing another plan for national reform this week and with members of both parties in Congress digging in their heels and dashing hopes for any compromise, a cure to our health care ills still seems to be in the research stages.
That’s part of the reason some local entities are taking health care into their own hands.
