Dr. John Shufeldt founded NextCare in 1993 and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Shufeldt's strategic design, vision and drive have grown NextCare to the largest urgent care system in the U.S. Dr. Shufeldt earned his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School and completed his emergency medicine residency at Christ Hospital. Dr. Shufeldt graduated with a MBA from Arizona State University and a Juris Doctorate from the ASU College of Law. He is a member of the Arizona Bar. Dr. Shufeldt serves as the Principal Investigator for many of our studies.

Jennifer Robb is the Director of Clinical Affairs and a Physician's Assistant. She will also be serving as the Sub-Investigator for many of the studies that will be done at NextCare Institute for Clinical Research.

Penny Carrel is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. She brings over five years of experience to the group. As a research coordinator, she will be meeting with the patients to go over any questions the patients might have, she will also be screening, enrolling, managing and following patients who are on a clinical trial.

Dr. Juarros is a Family Practice Board certified physician. She earned her medical degree at University of New Mexico School for Medicine. She has practiced over nine years in outpatient family practice and urgent care settings. She has significant experience with newborn through geriatric populations. She will serve as the Primary Investigator on many studies and Sub-Investigator as needed.
